Following brilliant research work aimed at investigating how to make the work of a justice court more efficient, carried out by an international team, the Themis project was started in 2013 for initiative of the Giuseppe Pera Foundation, based in Lucca.

Aim of the project is to identify and build suitable tools, which implement the research findings and allow deploying them in the real daily work of judges.

Result of the project has been a specific tool, named A-lex, which helps judges in planning their work.

The objective is to contribute in solving the big problem of the very long time (in average) needed in order to finalise a trial in front of a court in Italy.
